Prior to washing, remember to sort your laundry according to color, degree of soiling and fabric type. Separate the dyed garments from whites to avoid contaminating or colorizing the light-colored clothing. Heavily soiled items needs more time in the washer and requires more detergent. Separating the lightly soiled items will prevent fading and keep the whites and colors looking bright. With the exception of beaded hand-embroidered clothing, our clothing can be both hand-washed and machine-washed. In most cases, an all-purpose detergent is suitable for most fabric, including heavy soiled and stained clothing. The quantity should depend on how soiled the clothes are and on the capacity of your washing machine. Warmest water (40C-50C) available is recommended although cold water (30C) is not bad either. Fabric softeners are also ideal. For beaded, hand-embroidered clothings we recommend either hand-washing or dry cleaning. Shake damp clothing to remove excess water and loosen them before putting them into the dryer. Avoid twisting and squeezing too hard to prevent wrinkles. Hang them as soon as you get them out of the dryer. |
